Created cutting edge web-based, CD-ROM classroom training product for the Department of the Army, supporting Headquarters, Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC). Developed scenario-based training lesson with interactive activities to enhance student interest and retention of critical material.
Chrysler Corporation
Technical Writer for several IT development and support teams working with technologies that included SAP, Unix, IBM DB2, Sybase, Essbase, Autosys scheduling, FTP, Visual Basic and C programming. Responsibilities included creating and organizing system documentation including process flows, data flows and detailed specifications. As Project Manager, developed QA controlled, HTML/JAVA/VBA scripted Technical Documentation Library, and all associated documentation.
General Motors
Managed the Communication and Documentation team of technical writers and editors in the development of the Global Manufacturing and Quality 2008-2011 Strategic Plan for General Motors. Wrote the Executive Summary for the overall plan. Worked closely with GM Subject Matter Experts and Hewlett-Packard strategy consultants in writing, reviewing, editing, and packaging all Strategic Plan documents covering 22 taxonomy areas. Also, designed and developed PowerPoint presentations for the GM&Q Executive group.
Time Warner, San Diego
Developed and designed the first internal online architecture (intranet) for Time Warner employees in San Diego to meet and work collaboratively. The result was light and clean visual look, personalized for each department, HTML-driven, with punches of bold color and graphic playfulness where editorially and technologically appropriate.
