Chinese Labour Corps

Revisiting this email exchange below, I was reminded of an earlier email from Margo Gewurtz:  “As for the Boyds, they were indeed part of the Canadian Presbyterian/United Church  Mission in North Henan.  Herb Boyd, as I’m more used to seeing his name, went with others in the Mission to officer the Chinese Labour  Corps in France in WWI and held the rank of Captain in the British Army (BEF).  I’ve written something about the Canadians and the CLC.”  

 Seems this could be a connection between Herb Boyd and Edward Cockell?
