Launched a new website for the 2014 Manassas Airshow. It’s not exactly like child-birth, but it’s damn close. Anyhooo, it’s come a long way from the original design version! Though it is still very much a work in progress. I’ve uploaded all the info I have, and some of it probably needs a “sanity check” to make sure it’s 99.9% accurate. Still in the process of editing and uploading a ton of photos from previous years to the gallery. The Manassas Airport Regional Business Alliance (MARBA) invites the local community to the 2014 Manassas Air Show and Open House, May 3, 2014. This is exciting news for us here at MARBA, as this is our single greatest opportunity to open our airport to you, our neighbors, and welcome you to our flight line. As one of the largest air shows in the area, this show features aerobatic performers, stunt plane acts, a sky-diving team, RC aircraft demonstrations and aircraft displays from various organizations and companies. Proceeds from this year’s air show will benefit two local non-profit charities: The Virginia Airborne Search & Rescue Squad and The Manassas Freedom Museum. Headlining this year’s show is the amazing Scott Francis in his MXS. Other notable attractions include Pilot Randy Devere Aerobatics with his CJ-6, Aerobatic Pilot Andrew McKenna performing in his P-51 Mustang, American Helicopters Helicopter Demonstration Team, the 3rd Dimension Parachute Team, the Warrior Aviation Flight Team and The Flying Circus. With a number of exhibiting companies, and an impressive static and aerial display line-up, the show is set to reinforce its position as a must-attend event in the Northern Virginia area.
