What we know about Lewis Vincent Cockell

Lewis Vincent Cockell was born in 1876 in Brockley, Kent, England. His brother was Edward Lawrence Cockell. Lewis worked at 19 Warwick Square, Kensington, London as a Barrister-at-Law and Principal Clerk in the Valuation and Rating Department of the Corporation of the City of London.  In 1930 he was the owner of Betsham House, Betsham, near Southfleet, Kent. He died on the 23rd day of February 1933.

Lewis married May Beadles in 1906 and they had a daughter named Nancy May Beadles (b.1910). She married Wilfrid James Phillips in 1934. Wilfrid was the younger son of the late Mr. Sydney Philips, barrister-at-law, of St. Thomas’s Hospital, and the late Mrs. Phillips.

Mrs. Cockell, widow,lived in Allerloo, Dartford, Kent.
