Hi Peter,

 To finish responding to your comments on the Zalewski album. I’ve gotten all your emails, so I have been in the loop with all your comments. I don’t think it odd that Zalewski started the album in Japan.

It seems he may have gotten the camera to document his new journey. From what I read, at the time, it was customary for many of the missionaries going to China to first go to Japan.  There is something about it in the book I’ve been reading about the missionaries Jonathan Goforth and his wife. I should go look it up. Seems most travelers to China had to make a short stop in Japan first.

If Zalewski did get the camera specifically for this trip, then it would seem, perhaps his trip had a purpose. That he knew in advanced where he would be headed and why.

I’m taking it on faith that most of the album is in order. Though, admittedly, not all. Why? Because we have to start with some assumptions until proven wrong. If not, then we start with nothing. It’s difficult to prove or disprove nothing.
